Our Services in Tabora Region
I. SHAURI JEMA CENTRE
SHAURI JEMA CENTRE is owned by The African Sisters of our lady of good counsel. It is located at Cheyo ‘A’ in Tabora town. Our mission is to be a beacon of light in the community by offering a wide range of services that uplift humanity as a whole with a vision to create a haven of peace, love, and hope, we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families. Our center provides various services to cater for diverse needs of the community.
II. AMUCTA
Sisters do their apostolate at Archbishop Mihayo University collage of Tabor(AMUCTA). They teach in Inclusive education and special needs and offer counselling services to students and staff. In addition they do community service, research and consultancy.
III. ADMINISTRATION WORK AT THE DIOCESE
There are sisters who work as accountants and secretaries at the archdiocese of Tabora. These are meeting various people every day and support them in various ways.
IV. SUPPORTING GIRLS TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL
The sisters have a program of supporting girls who have dropped of school to go back to school.
V. SUPPORT TO CHILDREN WITH DISSABILITIES
African sisters support children with disabilities with basic requirements of medical care and school needs. Some of the children they support have undergone surgery and some rehabilitation to enable them live a dignified life.
